LMG Manufacturing GmbH inaugurates i-Force plant in Hoym, Germany, in a significant collaborative venture between BMW & Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited.
The aluminum die-casting specialist LMG Manufacturing inaugurated its new production hall in Hoym/Seeland today after just ten months of construction. Sven Schulze, Minister for Economic Affairs, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry for the state of Saxony-Anhalt says: “Due to its central location and proximity to major manufacturers, Saxony-Anhalt has long been an interesting location for companies in the automotive supply industry. The expansion of the location by LMG Hoym shows that the company is meeting the challenges of structural change in the industry with innovative solutions. I am very pleased that the state of Saxony-Anhalt contributed to implementing the project at such a rapid pace through timely approvals. This not only creates new jobs, but also promotes further economic development in the region. This will accelerate our course and keep Saxony-Anhalt in the fast lane."
LMG Manufacturing GmbH is a wholly owned subsidiary of JHI International BV, which belongs to the Dr. Abhay Firodia Group of Companies from India. Located in East Germany, LMG Manufacturing GmbH, caters to High Precision Electro Mobility Parts for its European customers. Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Jaya Hind Industries Private Limited, India, says: “75 years of German-Indian partnership and the technical expertise of the parent company Jaya Hind Industries with its strong vertical integration of technologies lead LMG into a future of electromobility.”
The expansion of the site in Hoym was dynamic: the groundbreaking ceremony took place in March 2023, followed by the topping-out ceremony in May 2023. The start of series production officially begins with the inauguration of the production hall. Within nine months, the number of employees increased from 140 to 240. LMG has thus developed into a significant employer in the region. Markus Bauer, District Administrator of the Salzland district, says: “With the new production hall, LMG in Hoym is relying on innovative and future-shaping technologies in the field of mobility. As a supplier to renowned car manufacturers, the company is an excellent fit for the Salzland district as an attractive business, residential and scientific location.”
Another milestone at LMG is the leap from manual to fully automated manufacturing processes. This enables more efficient production and strengthens LMG's competitiveness. By setting up specialized process technology to combine aluminum die casting and plastic injection molding, LMG has created a new, Europe-wide unique selling point. LMG's other portfolio includes the production of casting and punching tools as well as the mold inserts and milling devices required for this - also in cooperation with specialists from Jaya Hind Industries in India. LMG Managing Director Clemens von Reyher emphasizes: “The foundation of success is the trusting and loyal cooperation of the employees within LMG as well as the close support from our main customer, BMW AG from Munich.”
BMW division manager Dr. Wolfgang Blümlhuberadds: “LMG can be particularly proud of developing into an important Tier 1 supplier for our company!” Dr. Robert Franke, Managing Director of the investment and marketing company Sachsen-Anhalt mbH (IMG), who has looked after the company for many years, joins in the congratulations on the start of production and says: “The capacity expansion at LMG Hoym not only means a growth spurt for the company itself, but also shows an important perspective in the transformation in the automotive sector. We wish you every success in implementing LMG’s high claim to include parts from Hoym in every German electric vehicle
