Rajendra RE won the Open class in the finals of the Eurogrip FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024 for 2W held at Nanoli Speedway on the outskirts of Pune and promoted by FB Motorsports. The 5.3km created track was run twice putting the 90 participants to test in 11 classes.
Rajendra RE clinched the GroupA C1-Open Upto 550cc as he was consistent in both the runs with a timing of 6min 20sec he marginally with .300th of a second improved on his own first run. With a total time of 12min 40.700sec he managed to win the class. Nataraj R managed to improve on his own first run timing by over 2 seconds in the second run and with a difference of less than 10sec finished in second position. Naresh VS also managed to improve on his own timing in the second run after taking too longer time in the first spell but fell short of over 16sec and had to settle for third. Sachin D with .200th of a second difference missed the podium to finish fourth and GS Amogh Nag with 18sec difference was fifth.
GroupA C2 upto 550cc (PVT):
Sinan Francis won the class with a total time of 12min 31sec, which included a surprising first run timing of 6min 07sec which was fastest of the day as well, he also remained as the only rider to have been slower by 17sec in his second run, as he slided off the track on a right hander. Nataraj R with 27sec difference finished behind him in second, Naresh VS shared the bike with Nataraj and with no time left to change the tyre he had to take start and managed to finish on the podium with .400th of a second difference. Suhail Ahmed with further 6sec difference was fourth while Amogh Nag with 20sec difference finished fifth.
GroupB C3 131 to 165cc:
Varun Kumar with a total time of 13min 45.600 sec was the winner followed by Stephen Roy in second with .600th of a second difference while Bharath L with 28sec deficit finished third. Yogesh P with one second difference missed the podium to finish fourth and Chalass K Bose with 19sec difference was fifth.
Sachin D won the GroupB C4 166 to 260cc class with a consistent two runs of 2min 20sec in both the run cumulating to 12min 58.100sec, Sanjay Somashekar with .500th of a second difference missed the top slot and settled for second, Karan Kumar with 15sec difference was third. Stephen Roy RA was 21sec slower to finish third. Thangraj finished fifth with 40sec difference.
Hemanth Gowda with a total time of 13min 25sec was the winner of GroupB C5 261 to 400cc class, Rohit Shinde with a difference of over 3sec finished in second as Rajesh Swami finished third with 11sec difference. Rajesh Kumar and Madhurjya Jyoti finished in fourth and fifth position respectively.
GroupB C6 Bullet upto 550cc:
Suhail Ahmed with a timing of 13min 18.700sec was the winner followed by Sinan Francis in second with 6sec difference, Suhas SS with 48sec deficit was third. Sharath Kumar S with 5sec difference was fourth and Shreekant Kormana with over a second difference was fifth.
Syed Asif Ali clocked 13min 45.200sec to finish on top of the GroupB C7 Scooter upto 210cc, with a stunning 37sec improvement over his first run, followed by Shamim Khan in second with 41sec difference, Karthik with further 25sec difference was third. Lokesh Bhosle and Pinkesh Thakkar with further 35 and 20sec difference finished fourth and fifth.
GorupB C8 Ladies upto 260cc:
Rehana Bee A was the topper of the class with a total time of 15min 43.300sec as Sneha CC followed her in second with a difference of 1min 45sec while Tanaya Singh with a further 10sec difference completed the podium.
Md Saeed won the GroupB upto 260cc-C9 Vetrans Above 50yrs with a winning margin of 29sec, as Jose AJ finished second and Amarendra Sathe with 5sec difference finished third. Ajit Patil and Mohan Sethiya finished in fourth and fifth position.
GroupD C10 upto 260cc:
Sanjay Somashekar with a total time of 13min 36.800sec was the winner followed by Yogesh P in second with 29sec difference, while Naved Khan finished third with 23sec difference. This class saw 9 disqualification in the post event scrutiny. Vinoth Kumar S and Deepan Kumar S finished in fourth and fifth position respectively.
GroupD C11 261 to 450cc:
Rajesh Swami was the winner of the class followed by Sharath Kumar S in second with a difference of 16sec, Shajeer Ishmail with further 40sec difference finished third. Chetan Hosatti with further 3sec difference was fourth and Hansraj Saikia finished in fifth position with 32sec difference.
